So this entire weekend was basically a three-day Halloween party. What with the show, a few parties, adventures thru inner-Fresno; a lot of stuff went down.
Look at that Jellyfishing net. Sturdy, Hand-made and didn’t cost a dime. Holler.
Friday - Had work. We got to dress up in our costumes - I was Spongebob Squarepants, jellyfish net in hand - and give out Halloween treats (not very tasty Smash Bars) to the kids who came to the store. My Spanish speaking skills were put to the test when a customer came in and she didn’t speak a lick of English. By stringing together sentences a four year old would use I was able to stuff, dress and check out a bear for her daughter’s Quinceanera. It was a good shift. The day came to a screeching halt and was met with a dead, humorless silence when the nights show began. Even though my best friend Marc (Peter Pan in the above photo) was in the audience it sadly wasn’t enough to revive the crowd from whatever coma they were in. They were so bad our director cut the bows short, no singing Bruiser for them! Luckily, once the show was done it was time to party; and let me tell ya, I got sooooooo sober (fun fact, I don’t drink). My friend Jackie threw an awesome party at her place complete with Witches Brew, spaghetti, bumpin’ music with a foggy dance floor, a stripper pole - yes, a stripper pole - and photo corner. Did not go to bed until like 4:30 AM, I’m pretty hardcore.
